Holly Hayes FTD Endowment Fund

Honoring a Legacy. Advancing a Mission.

The Holly Hayes Fund was established in 2024 through a generous gift from Carl W. Stern, Jr. in loving tribute to his wife, Holly Hayes. This endowed fund supports a cornerstone initiative of the International Society for Frontotemporal Dementias (ISFTD): the Holly Hayes Annual Lecture on FTD, held each year at the ISFTD Annual Meeting.

The Purpose of the Fund

The Holly Hayes Fund is dedicated to:
• Supporting an annual, named plenary lecture by a leading expert in FTD research or care.
• Ensuring global visibility for the latest advancements in science, treatment, and understanding of FTD.
• Creating a lasting platform for dialogue and dissemination across disciplines and borders.

Each year, but for the first time in 2026, the Holly Hayes Annual Lecture on FTD will bring together the world’s foremost scientists, clinicians, and advocates to share breakthrough ideas and inspire progress. The lecture is accompanied by a tribute video honoring Holly’s life and her enduring impact on the community.
